Kazakh delegation attended NAM 16th Ministerial Conference in Bali

Addressing the conference Sarybai told about the Kazakh President's initiative on adoption of the Universal Nuclear-Free World Declaration, which would stipulate the determination of all states to follow the ideals of the world without nuclear arms. It was noted that Kazakhstan attaches great importance to the participation in regional organizations and enjoys good cooperation within the OSCE, SCO, CICA and OIC. The diplomat informed that on June 28-30 Astana will host the 38th meeting of the Foreign Ministers' Council of the Organization of the Islamic Conference.
During the conference the Kazakh Deputy Foreign Minister held a number of bilateral meetings. Foreign ministers of Indonesia, Azerbaijan, Brunei, Iraq and Iran confirmed their intention to attend the meeting in Astana. |
