Kazakhstan spent KZT 17.5 bln on liquidation of emergency situation consequencies

'It demonstrated economic solvency of our state amid the global crisis', V. Bozhko said. 'All the people who suffered the consequences of emergency situations in Almaty and East Kazakhstan regions have their homes reconstructed, compensations paid. Besides, facilities of social and cultural purposes have been built', the Minister added. According to him 10 074 people were saved, 1 723 people were rendered medical aid, support and psychological help was given to those who needed it. 1 350 homes were reconstructed. The Head of the Ministry also expressed gratitude to big corporations, businessmen, citizens, non-governmental organizations and foreign humanitarian organizations for allocating funds, food and clothes for victims of emergencies. |
