23 people rescued in volcano area in El Salvador

text: Kazinform views: [1285] Related articles28 drown as vehicle plunges into lake in southern India 6 killed, over 40 injured in bus blast in SW Pakistan At least 23 people were rescued early Tuesday morning in the Ilamatepec volcano, in Santa Ana department, about 63 kilometers west of the capital of San Salvador, said Roberto Pacheco, head of Rescue Command. Kazinform refers to Xinhua. Pacheco said there were six children, 13 women and four men in the group. The people got lost on Monday night after they climbed the volcano's crater, 2,381 meters above sea level. After the climb, the group tried to go down to the Coatepeque Lake, but they got lost and phoned emergency services for help.
