Total foreign trade hit 42.5 billion dollars in the first six months, with imports accounting for 12.9 billion dollars and exports 29.6 billion dollars.
According to official figures, oil, gas and mineral exports are the "main force" for the robust growth in the January to June period, accounting for 76.8 percent of the total.
Automobiles, electrical equipment and various types of apparatus were the main imports, accounting for 36.5 percent of the total import amount.
Data from the State Statistics Bureau showed Kazakhstan's main export markets are China, Italy, France and Russia, while its imports come mainly from Russia, China, Germany and Ukraine.
