Almaty. May 4. Kazakhstan Today - A series of earthquakes hit the Bering Sea, the agency reports citing RIA RosBusinessConsulting (RBC).

According to the American National Geological Service, the epicentre of the first earthquake, 6.3 points under the Richter scale, occured in 474 kilometres of the south-west of Gambella town (the USA, the State of Alaska) and 478 kilometres of the south-west of the Russian city Provedenie (Providenie island). The seismic centre was at the depth of 15.1 kilometers.

The epicentre of the other earthquake, 6 points under the Richter scale, was in 478 kilometers of the south-west of the city Gambella and 486 kilometers of Provideniye town. The epicenter was at the depth of 15.7 kilometers.
