Kazakhstan Today - The participants of the session of the Customs Union Commission on February 26 in Moscow made the decision that Kazakhstan would receive 7.36 % of total amount of customs duties in Customs Union. First Vice Premier of Kazakhstan, Umirzak Shukeev, informed in an interview to journalists, following the results of the government's session, the agency reports. U. Shukeev reminded that earlier "volume of customs duties was the following: Russia - 92 %, Belarus - 3.5 % and Kazakhstan - 3.5 %." "Considering that custom duties have changed, in some cases they have increased for Kazakhstan. The agreement has been reached and the principle of distribution of these duties has been confirmed. Thus, Kazakhstan will receive 7.36 % of total amount of customs duties," U. Shukeev informed. Kazakhstan budget income from customs duties in 2009 amounted to 97 billion KZT. The Customs Union of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia came into force on January 1, 2010.
