Uzbekistan creates state inspection for control over oil products

By order of the government of Uzbekistan, a state inspection for control over utilisation of oil and gas products (Uzgosneftegazinspectzia) has been created in Uzbekistan, KZ-today correspondent reports from Tashkent.

The Uzgosneftegazinspectzia is a body managed by the state.

This new authority by the cabinet of ministers must implement state energy saving programmes and project and carry out control over observation of legislative acts in the oil and gas industry.

The state inspection carries out control over sales and transportation of gas in the republic, issues expert conclusions on compliance with technological requirements, and the quality of the products. The inspection is financed at the expense of obligatory deductions by such companies as Uzbeknefteproduct, Uztransgaz, and Mubarak gas refinery. As per the government decree, funds earned through economic sanctions against the legislation violators will be coming in the budget of the new state authority.
