More than 75% of Kazakhstani citizens have not acquainted with a new law "On elections"

According to the results of a sociological enquiry, made by the Association of sociologists and political scientists of RK more than 75% of the Kazakhstani citizens have not get acquainted with a new text of the Law "On elections", KZ-today informs.

Having regard to the information given by the Association, in several electoral districts the figure exceeded 80%. Thus, "only each fourth citizen (22.5%) is interested in the law base of his electoral rights," the experts suppose.

According to enquiries, the most popular are Nursultan Nazarbayev, the leader of "Otan" party, acting president of RK (68.7%), Dariga Nazarbayeva, chairperson of "Asar" party (62%) and Bulat Abilov, co-chairman of "Ak Zhol" party (27.6%). The most unknown are Romin Madinov, chairperson of Agrarian party (3.4), Maksut Narikbayev, leader of democratic party (3.2%) and Ludmila Zhylanova, co-chairman of "Ak Zhol" party (2.6%).

"The high rating of popularity of "Otan" party leader points that popularity of acting president will be the key factor determining the course of election campaign and its results," the experts suppose.

They also noted that the level of information distribution about pre-election programs is rather low in the republic. Only 24.6% and 23% got acquired with "Asar" and "Otan" parties programs, respectively.
