The coin "2006 FIFA WORLD CUP GERMANYTM" is dedicated to the forthcoming World Cup. 50 thousand coins will be minted in three years. The coin "OLYMPIC GAMES 2004" is dedicated to the forthcoming Olympic games in Athenes. 10 thousand coins have already been minted. Both "proof" quality coins are made by the Kazakhstani mint from the 925 silver, with 31.1 gram weight and 38.61 mm diameter. The order for them has been received from foreign companies MDM and WCI for distribution and sales abroad. The national Bank observes that it is the first time that international coins are minted in Kazakhstan. A part of the minted coins have been reserved by the National Bank of RK for usage on the domestic market of RK. |
