EurAsEC integration committee to meet in Astana

The 19th session of the EurAsEC integration committee (IC) is planned on June 17, 2004, in Astana, KZ-today has been advised by the Ministry of Justice of Tajikistan, where Yevgeny Vorsin, deputy secretary general of EurAsEC, sent a draft agenda and session materials for consideration to Hodja Akbar Turadzhonzoda, deputy prime minister of RT (member of EurAsEC IC).

The Ministry of Justice of Tajikistan observes that the session agenda includes 11 issues, among which there is an establishment of an EurAsEC common tariff system for railway cargo transportation, the interaction between EurAsEC member states on the efficient management of hydropower resources of Syrdaria and Amudaria river basins, a draft plan of co-operation in banking regulation and supervision within the EurAsEC for 2005-2006.

The last EurAsEC IC session took place April 28 in Dushanbe. 17 documents were passed on it. A meeting of the commission of permanent representatives to the EurAsEC is planned before this session (June 15-16) in Astana.
