A session of the council of CSTO ministers of defence will be held in Moscow

Tomorrow on December, 9, a session of the Council of Ministers of Defence of states participanting in the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO) will take place in Moscow. KZ-today correspondent has been advised about that by an announcement from the press-service of MFA RF.

The implementation of agreements reached at Dushanbe sessions of CST council on the level of Presidents is scheduled to be discussed.

The documents regulating activities of the general headquarters of CSTO, the draft budget of the Organization for 2004 and issues related with management of Collective Forces of Fast Response (CFFR) in Central Asia will be discussed. In particular, among the points of discussion will be military facilities on the territory of Central Asia which are intended for joint usage by the CSTO member countries and how regional operational aerodromes are equipped in the interests of CFFR.

Participants of the meeting will also discuss the basic directions of dialogue between the CSTO and NATO.

The Minister of Defence of Tadjikistan, Sherali Khairuloev will head the session.

Currently the CSTO consists of Byelorussia, Kazakhstan, Kyrghyzstan, Russia and Tadjikistan.
