A special letter from the US secretary of state to the foreign minister of RK says, KZ-today reports. The document, circulated by the Kazakhstani MFA, observes that "the USA highly estimate courage and spirit" of Kazakhstani soldiers. "Together we have reached a significant progress in bringing freedom and prosperity back to Iraq," - C. Powell is sure. The American diplomat calls to further joint actions, including a review of new United Nations resolution on Iraq. C. Powell also offers to Kazakhstani party to represent its own vision how these objectives should be achieved. Earlier it was reported that in relation with the last events in Iraq, the government of Kazakhstan had made a statement on 9 April, in which it had addressed a request to the international coalition to provide the security of Kazakhstani personnel properly. At the same time the statement stressed that Kazakhstan was not going to call off its field engineering detachment from Iraq so far. The government of Kazakhstan also declared its support for the UN in recovering peace in that country. |
