CSTO experts noted importance of Kazakhstan initiative on convocation of OSCE summit in 2010

Moscow. January 29. Kazakhstan Today - The experts of the Ministries for Foreign Affairs and other departments of the CSTO member states noted importance of Kazakhstan's initiative about convocation of the OSCE summit in 2010 during consultations in Moscow, the agency reports citing the CSTO Secretariat's press service.

"The experts have noted importance of the initiative of the Republic of Kazakhstan about convocation of the OSCE summit in 2010 in the context of joint efforts of the CSTO member states on advancement of the Russian initiative on development of the European security contract," the press service informs.

According to the press service, the participants of the consultations reminded that the CSTO member states have supported the initiative on convocation in 2010 of the meeting of the heads of CSTO, NATO, OSCE, EU and the CIS to discuss the security strategy accepted in these organisations and to coordinate the positions with a view of formation of the indivisible security space and expressed readiness for the beginning of discussion of the draft of the contract with the international organisations.

According to the press service, during the consultations, the experts of the Ministries for Foreign Affairs and other departments of the CSTO member states confirmed their intention to actively advance the initiative regarding development and signing of the European security contract.
