New director of JSC "KazTransOil"

Kairat Krymov has been appointed as a new general director of CJSC "KazTransOil". KZ- today correspondent was advised about that by CJSC "KazTransOil" press-service. Previously Askar Smankulov was the head of the company.

K. Krymov was born on 23 March, 1969 in Almaty. He graduated from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Atyrau Institute of Oil and Gaz in economics. He occupied the position of first vice president of OJSC "Mangystaumunaigas" since May 1998, then he was appointed as a vice president for economy and finance of CJSC "NCTO" KazTransOil" in September, 1999, since May, 2001 he took a position of general director of CJSC "NMSC " Kazmortransflot"

The oil transportation company of Kazakhstan "KazTransOil" CJSC was established in April, 1997 by Decree issued by the Government of Kazakhstan . The objective of the company is the necessity of pursuing national interests of the Republic of Kazakhstan in oil transportation, exports and imports, optimization of management of enterprises of the area, attraction of investments and conducting a common tariff policy for all main oil pipelines of the country.

Today CJSC "KazTransOil" has a broad network of pipelines providing transportation of about 70% of all domestically produced oil via the national oil pipeline network. The company carries out the export of oil and its supply to the refineries of Kazakhstan, develops the pipeline network.

The only stockholder of the company is CJSC "NC" "KazMunaiGas".

Currently CJSC "KazTransOil" operates more than 6 400 km of pipelines and more than 2 000 km of a water line, passing along eight oblasts of Kazakhstan. 39 pumping stations make part of the company. The total volume of oil storages of the tank farm is 1,200 ths cubic meters.

Usen-Atyrau-Samara, Kalamakas-Karazhanbas-Aktau, Zhanazhol-Kenriyak-Orsk, Omsk-Pavlodar-Shymkent-Shardzhow pipelines make part of CJSC "KazTnasOil"'s pipeline system.
