Kazakhstan to observe parliamentary election in Kyrgyzstan

Among Kazakhstan's observers are parliamentarians, leaders of non-governmental organizations, representatives from the CEC and mass media. They will be working in the electoral district of Bishkek and Chu oblasts. The delegation from Kyrgyzstan has been observing the September mazhillis election in Kazakhstan last year. Earlier it was reported that Kyrgyz President Askar Akayev has signed a Decree to conduct the parliamentary election on 27 February 2005 in Kyrgyzstan. The observers from different international organizations including the CIS, OSCE, and the SCO will also monitor the election.
