President of Azerbaijan received the ambassador of RK

The president of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received the ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan in AR Andar Shukputov today, on 26 November, KZ-today correspondent received from RK.

According to the press service of president, bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan were discussed at the meeting, the political situation in the regions of Southern Caucasus and Central Asia, issues of co-operation in operating oil and gas fields in Caspian Sea.

A. Shukputov handed to I. Aliyev a letter from the president of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev congratulating him with election to presidency and observing that the government of Kazakhstan believes in continuation of the course towards economic and democratic development started in Azerbaijan by Geydar Aliyev.

In his turn the president I. Aliyev expressed his satisfaction with a high level of co-operation between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan in all areas, stressed the necessity of further development of this co-operation having a big potential. The head of RA observed that friendly relations between the two countries were a fruit of efforts of president of the two countries G. Aliyev and N. Nazarbayev and confirmed his intention to develop bilateral relations between the countries.
