Presentation of French enterprises in Almaty

From 21 to 22 May within the economic forum of France in Kazakhstan, a presentation of French enterprises and round tables "Oil & gas", "Electric power and infrastructure" will take place in Almaty, KZ-today correspondent has been advised in the economic department of the embassy of France in RK

As it was reported earlier, the economic forum of France in Kazakhstan started in Astana on 19 May. The forum is carried out in four directions - oil & gas, railway transport, electric power, communal services (water supply and domestic waste).

It is suggested that in Almaty events French companies will participate, such as the railway management company "SNCF International", the bank BNP Paribas, AREVA (atomic energy production and services), COGEMA (a branch of AREVA), KATCO (a joint venture of COGEMA and "National Company "Kazatomprom" CJSC), as well as a number of other, biggest enterprises of France, specialising in geology, the production of equipment for oil & gas and chemical areas, the electric power, the construction industry and the transport.

Today there are 40 representative offices of French companies and 5 joint ventures operating in the republic. The volume of capital investments of France into Kazakhstani economy makes only 2% of the total volume of investments.
