text: "Kazakhstan Today" views: [50] Related articles"Ak Zhol" party branch leader sued for hooliganism The Aktobe municipal court has sentenced the head of Aktobe branch of the republican party "Ak Zhol" Zmgali Kobenov to a fine in an amount of 133 thousand tenge for hooliganism, KZ-today correspondent reports. Earlier it was reported that the director of "Samal" cafe had submitted an application to Sazda police department stating that an unknown man "from hooligan reasons" made a row in the cafe and "caused material damage and physical harm to one of the cafe's female clients" on June 21. The investigation established that the suspect was Z. Kobenov, 48, chairman of Aktobe province branch of the republican party "Ak Zhol". A criminal case was brought against him as per article 257 item 1 of the criminal code of RK "Hooliganism". In the court the respondent explained his hooligan actions in the cafe by the fact that "warm beer with garbage inside was served" to him. According to Z. Kobenov he "made remarks to the cafe waitresses several times, but nobody listened" to him. The forensic medical examination has not confirmed statements by the accusing side that the respondent beat them up. Aigul Kulbossynova, municipal judge, has sentenced Z. Kbenov to a fine in an amount of 133 thousand tenge. Besides, the respondent must pay the cost of two ashtrays broken by him (200 tenge) to the cafe. |
