Almaty. January 27. Kazakhstan Today - The risks in the financial system of Kazakhstan have remained. Elena Bahmutova, the chairman of the Agency of Kazakhstan for Regulation and Supervision of the Financial Market and Financial Organizations, informed at the press conference in Almaty, the agency reports.

"The risks in 2010 in the financial system have remained," E. Bahmutova said.

E. Bahmutova noted, "2009 for the economy and the financial system was not easy, but, nevertheless, the results of the year show, as a whole, adequacy of the measures undertaken by the government and regulators to stabilize the system."

"Some positive moments were: "positive economic growth, GDP growth, stability of the credit portfolio of the banks and non-admission of essential decrease in consumer demand, as a consequence of scale employment assistance programs." "The main evidence - maintenance of trust of clients and investors to the banking sector. Deposits of physical entities have grown, which last year amounted to more than 29 %," E. Bahmutova underlined.
