A business forum "Kazakhstan - your trade and investment partner", organised by Kazinvest, the committee for investments of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of RK together with the bureau for investments by the government of Pakistan, with an official support from the embassy of Kazakhstan in Pakistan will take place, during the official visit, on 9 December in Islamabad. During the forum also bilateral negotiations between Kazakhstani and Pakistani businessmen will take place. Business forums of Kazakhstan at this forum will be represented by heads of such Kazakhstani companies, as "Food contract corporation", "State insurance corporation", "Mal onimderi corporatsiasy", "Astana-Motors", "Media holding "31 channel" and others. The agreement about establishment of diplomatic and consular relations between RK and IRP was signed on 24 February, 1992, during an official visit of the president of RK Nursultan Nazarbayev to Pakistan. The official opening of the embassy of RK in Pakistan took place on 27 November, 1994. In January-August, 2003, the volume of commodity turnover of the two countries made $1.3 million, including the export of $0.331 million and the import of $1 million. Chemical industry products, metal and metal fabric, raw cotton and leather are the main items of Kazakhstani import to Pakistan. Pharmaceutical products, medicines and surgeon tools, rice, cotton fabric and clothes, leather and leather articles are exported to Kazakhstan. |
