"The United States welcome the initiative of Kazakhstan to promote a dialogue between civilisations", - Robert Waxler, US congressman, has declared in the embassy of RoK in Washington during the presentation of the International conference of peace and accord, which will take place in Almaty on 13 February, says the report circulated by the press service of MFA of RoK.

"It is extremely important that this event will promote international mutual understanding between different peoples and religions", - R.Waxler observed.

The world has encountered new unprecedented threats - terrorism, extremism, drug traffic. The tension in many hot spots has reached an exceptionally high level, especially in Middle East. "With all this in view the idea of Nursultan Nazarbaev, president of Kazakhstan, about a conference, which would show a real possibility to resolve the acute problems of humanity peacefully, through the dialogue between peoples, religions, cultures and civilisations", - Kanat Saudabaev, ambassador of RoK in USA said.

According to MFA, in the conference heads of Central Asian States, Azerbaijan, Afganistan and Turkey, more than 70 heads of the biggest Jewish organisations from USA and Israel will take place.

It is expected that a Charter of peace and accord will be accepted at the conference and a Forum of peace and stability will be established. Its participants will confirm that peace and well-being of people are the utmost purpose of all world religions and cultures and they will call on all countries to join their initiative.

"In Kazakhstan Moslems and Jews live in peace and accord for many centuries and we hope that this conference is an important impulse for attaining peace in the whole world", - Mark Levin, executive director of the National Conference for the affairs of Soviet Jews (USA) said speaking at the presentation.
