Two wells to drill at Kurmangazy in 2003

"During 2003 drilling of two wells is planned in Kurmangazy field structure", Sergey Bogdanchikov, president of "Rosneft" OJSC said at his meeting with Imangali Tasmagambetov, Prime Minister of RoK, KZ-today has been advised today, on 22 November in the press service of Prime Minister of RoK.

According to the press service, S.Bogdanchikov advised the Prime Minister that the business plan had already been prepared. Together with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and National Oil Company "KazMunaiGaz" the terms of approval of basic documents and budget for 2003 are being agreed upon. The program of joint geologic development and its schedule are also discussed.

As I.Tasmagambetov noted, an agreement on Caspian shelf development had been reached between the heads of two States. In relation with further development of the country oil & gas complex, the government lays big hopes on the cooperation with Russian side.

Vladimir Shkolnik, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, and Timur Kulibaev, First Vice President of "KazMunaiGaz", took part in the meeting.
