Ministry of Health to work on maintenance of population with qualitative medicine and food

Kazakhstan Today - The head of state, Nursultan Nazarbayev, assigned the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan to work on the question of maintenance of population with qualitative medicine and food. The Minister of Health of Kazakhstan, Zhaksylyk Doskaliev, informed after the meeting with the head of state, the agency reports citing the president's press service.

"The head of state set new goals. We need to strengthen preventive medicine and primary medical and sanitary care and to solve the problem of maintenance of population with qualitative medical products and food," Z. Doskaliev said.

According to the press service, Z. Doskaliev informed the President of Kazakhstan of the results of work of the ministry for 2009. "Last year, the indicators of infant and maternity death rate, tuberculosis and cardiovascular diseases considerably decreased. According to the Health Code and Public Health Services, the uniform national system of public health services is being introduced in the country.
