The strikers demand is facilitation of the prison regime. As KZ-today correspondent managed to find out, the reason for the strike is the death of a 17-year old prisoner, sentenced for a robbery. His body was discovered on 31 July in an abandoned building on the territory of the camp. What was the reason of his death - suicide or premeditated murder is unknown. The oblast police press service informed that currently the command of the penitentiary systems department and oblast police went to the place of incident where it tries to stabilise the situation. |
