They live longer in South Kazakhstan

South Kazakhstani average lifetime is 67.4 years while in the rest of the republic it is 65.4. Also the statistical data say that they get married either very early (at 16-17) or very late (at 35-39) in the South. The highest number of divorces (37.4%) happens in the families without common children. 28.5% families with two or more children broke. As a result the number of incomplete families grew in the oblast. However, the statistics do not show the whole picture of South Kazakhstani family life: specialists observe that there are more civil marriages nowadays there rather than formal ones. In two years 38.3 thousand people left the oblast and 20.3 thousand arrived. 78.5% of those, who came and 76,3% of those who went away - are people able to work. Women prevail among the migrants. According to the information as of January 2002 in total there are 2 million 200 thousand people in South Kazakhstan. |
