Membership of the Constitutional Council of RK changed

The membership of the Constitutional Council of RK has been changed, presidential press service has advised KZ-today.

In particular, Nikolai Belorukov has been appointed member of the Constitutional Council by order of president Nursultan Nazarbayev. Besides, Ubaidullah Stamkulov has been appointed member of the Constitutional Council by order of the senate chairman Nurtai Abykayev and Amanzhol Nurmagambetov has been appointed member of the Constitutional Council by order of the mazhilis speaker Ural Mukhametzhanov.

Anatoly Kotov, Amangeldy Yessenzhanov, and Kurmanbek Omarkhanov have left the Constitutional Council in relation of the expiry of their terms as per the Constitution.

The Constitutional Council consists of seven members, whose authorities last for 6 years. Two members of the Constitutional Council are appointed by the president of RK, two - by the senate chairman, and two - by the mazhilis speaker. The chairperson of the Constitutional Council is assigned by the president of the republic. A half of the Constitutional Council membership is renewed every three years.
