Kaztransoil paid the first Eurobond coupon reward

Kaztransoil paid the first Eurobond coupon reward at an 8.5% pa rate, the company-s press service informs. The total payments to the investors made up $6.375 million. The payment was transferred via Chase Manhattan. Kaztransoil Eurobonds had been issued in June 2001 for $150 mln with 5 years maturity. Placing was diversified between European and American investors. American investors share was 44.4%, UK v 26.3%, and German v 18.4%. Swiss, Austrian, Dutch, and Spanish investors also participated. These securities are in the A ist of Kazakhstan stock exchange (KASE). Kaztransoil claims no other national company has so far managed to place its Eurobonds at a level this high.
