Chairman of mazhilis met the vice foreign minister of Cuba

Today, on March 25, Zharmakhan Tuyakbai, chairman of mazhilis, met Angel Dalmau, vice foreign minister of Cuba, in the House of Parliament.

As the mazhilis press service reports, the parties discussed the state of Kazakhstani-Cuban economic relations, observed an existence of relevant pre-conditions for their development and activation. In particular, one of the factors of cooperation between the two countries can be an interaction in the area of petrochemistry, biotechnologies, the partnership in tourism has a big potential to it.

According to A.Dilmau, there are many positive changes in the economy of the Island of Liberty, "although we, in Cuba, cannot talk about such impressive economic growth as in Kazakhstan". In particular, the oil production is developed, while the modernisation of the leading sugar industry must increase its efficiency and openness for the international cooperation.

The interlocutors also noted good prospects in the area of bilateral interparliamentary relations.
