Film Producer Nikita Mikhalkov praises documentary film of an architect from Southern Kazakhstan

Famous Russian film Producer Nikita Mikhalkov praised documentary film "Metamorphosis" of Bakhyt Ashirbaev, architect from Southern Kazakhstan.

As Kz-Today informed earlier, the group of Southern Kazakhstan architects for reconstruction of historical part of Turkestan was awarded by Golden Diploma at the International Festival of Achitecture held in Moscow on November 1-6, 2001. The said architects presentedtheir work with the help of slides, photoes and documentary film "Metamorphosis" of Bakhyt Ashirbaev. For the said film B.Ashirbaev was awarded official document of the Festival. Nikita Mikhalkov, who was in the jury of the Festival, said: "It is a good professional film on architecture". Also, Nikita Mikhalkov and actor Oleg Yankovsky, another jury member, liked very much the blue print of the "House of Actor", which Kazakh architects intend to erect in Turkestan, and expressed their will to visit this ncient city.
