N.Kubeisynov is confident that the decision of the atomic company "KazAtomProm" on burial of nuclear waste in the said site will worsen the situation in the southern area of the Western Kazakhstan region adjacent to "Kapustin Yar" and "Azgir" sites. "It may negatively influence the lives and health of the population of the region" - he admitted. "Even now without any waste to be imported the radio nuclear come out to the soil's surface for over half of capacitances created in the result of nuclear tests are filled with nuclear waste. "Naryn" movement is against only of waste burial in "Azgir" site. We are not in general against their burial in the territory of Kazakhstan. However, for these purposes there should be selected sufficient places meeting certain parameters" - said K.Kubeisynov. |
