Deputy Defense Minister of the RK: Kazakhstan in 2002 will spend KZT2bln for purchase of weapons and military equipment

"Budget of the Republic for 2002 for the first time in history of the military forces of the RK envisages financing of the program of upgrading weaponry, military equipment and means of communication. Although the sum is not significant, it will be spent on improvement of the Semipalatinsk plant for repair of tanks. In the year 2002 the plant will be functioning in its full capacity" - said Deputy Minister. As J.Ertlesova also said, additional funds will be spent on formation of defense order for Kazakhstani defense enterprises. It is significantly cheaper than purchasing weapons abroad. |
