KAZAKHSTAN APPEALS TO SOLVE PROBLEM OF AFGHANISTAN ON THE LONG-TERM BASE

Kazakhstan appeals to solve the problem of Afghanistan on the long term base, announced the vice-minister of foreign affairs of Kazakhstan Mr. K. Abuseitov at the two-day seminar " Cooperation for providing security in Central Asia" , which opened in Almaty.

The problems of security in Central Asia and mechanisms of their solving, influence of the situation in Afghanistan on the states of Central Asia, measures of preventing of terrorism and cooperation with the international organizations are discussing at the seminar.

The organizers of the seminar are : The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, international secretariat of NATO, Kazakhstan's institute of strategic resources , the center of foreign policy and analyze of Kazakhstan.

Astana comes out for strict carrying out of resolutions of the General Assembly and UNO concerning Afghanistan, demanding non-intervention to the internal deals and stopping of weapon's delivers opposing Afghanian groups. Vice-Minister also said about great hopes on the realization of the Kazakhstan's initiative in convocation of special meeting of UNO in autumn of this year for examining the situation in Afghanistan.

Mr. Abuseitov underlined, that toughening actions against talibs negatively reflects on the negotiating process. Kazakhstan is ready to help in reanimation this negotiating process, announced the diplomat. Kazakhstan's suggestions include holding of the regular round of peaceful negotiations between opposing groups in Almaty, informal meetings , dedicated to the Afghanian regulation. At the same time , Mr. Abuseitov recognized, that the regulation of the situation will depend on the events, which are happening in the world now in connection with the terrorist acts in the USA. All states together must influence on the situation in Afghanistan", considers the diplomat.

The main important moment is the plan of economical rehabilitation of Afghanistan. The diplomat said about the mentality of the people of this country , because during last years new generations were born, who don't know how to cultivate cereals , create material welfare, but know how to use weapon. " In this connection economical rehabilitation is one of the main step for undoing of Afghanian knot", underlined the vice-minister.
