Kazakhstan, India to develop North-South transportation corridor

According to Mani Shankar Aiyar, the expansion of the cooperation between the two sates requires creation of the reliable traffic between Kazakhstan and India. The most prospective direction is development of the transportation corridor "North-South" with enhancement of the Kazakhstani Aktau Sea Port potential, Mani Shankar Aiyar marked. Besides, the parties discussed the cooperation in oil and gas, machinery, pharmacy, defense and education spheres. Daniyal Akhmetov has also stressed an important role of the Kazakh-Indian Intergovernmental Joint Commission in developing and strengthening of the bilateral cooperation. Co-chairmen of the Commission are Mani Shankar Aiyar and Kazakhstani Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Vladimir Shkonik
