The total income in the size of 52,8 million tenge , where registration of the contracts forms 78%, was got from the commodity exchanges for the first six months of 2001, as the statistic agency of Kazakhstan announced.

According to the statistic agency's data, the total sum of payments and other assessments to the budget by the commodity exchanges formed 24,9 million tenge.

The greatest volume of the payments according to this item was deposited by the commodity exchanges of the Western-Kazakhstan and Kostanay regions, 27% and 24%.

18 commodity exchanges, 15 of them -are acting, have been registered on the Kazakhstan territory.

According to the statistic agency's data, exchange infrastructure is presented in 7 regions: Aktubinsk, Almaty, Gambil, Western-Kazakhstan, Karaganda, Kostanay, Southern-Kazakhstan, and cities Almaty and Astana.

97 auctions were held in January-June 2001, where 26,6 thousand bargains were striked. 284 brokers offices , 0,3 thousand brokers and 12,9 thousand customers took part in the auctions.

The volume of the production for auctions and turnover of the commodity exchanges according to the striked bargains formed 43 and 40,5 billion

tenge.

According to the information of the statistic agency, the demand on mineral production ( ores, fuel, oil and oil products), which formed great volumes -

26,7 billion tenge or 62,3% in the total volume of production ( in 2000 - 57%). The main volume of the bargains of this kind of production formed 93,7% from the total turnover of striked bargains ( in 2000 - 80,2%).

The greatest volumes of mineral production are on the exchanges of Aktubinsk region - 83,8% ( 9,3 billion tenge), Western-Kazakhstan - 82,5% ( 0,2 billion tenge), Karaganda - 76,3% ( 2,9 billion tenge), Astana - 94% ( 2,4 billion tenge), Almaty - 89,8% ( 10,8 billion tenge), the products of vegetable and animal descent - Kostanay - 89,9% ( 10,8 billion tenge), textile - Southern-Kazakhstan region - 99,4% ( 1 billion tenge).

Bargains connected with chemical field , construction materials, machinery, equipment and mechanism, , apparatus and instruments , transport facilities were not observed in the regional volume.

The greatest number of bargains ( 40,2% from the total volume) as in the first six months of 2000 (54,3%) were registered on the International Kazakhstan's Agricultural ndustrial exchange in Almaty.
