Earlier it was reported that on April 26, in the morning a 3 million cubic metre landslide occurred at Kainama section of Budalyk rural area, Alai district, Osh oblast, at 10 AM. As a result 11 residential buildings were covered by the mudrock mass, 7 of which were completely destroyed. According to the Ministry of Ecology and Emergencies of Kyrgyzstan, 33 persons were killed, 11 were injured. The search works were stopped on April 27 because of a threat of a second landslide, this decision was agreed upon with local residents. |
