Zhaksybai Bazilbayev running in the presidential election, passed a Kazakh language exam carried out by the special election commission, KZ-today reports.

"I received a good mark," Zh. Bazilbayev said having noted it was the most difficult exam in his life.

The Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan stipulates that all candidates for the presidential position must be fluent in the state language.

The special linguistic commission was created to carry out this examination. It consists of a written section, a question and answer section, and a 15 minute oral presentation in the state language.

The next presidential election in Kazakhstan scheduled for December 4, 2005.
