Astana Administrative centre to be removed in 2005

The Administrative centre of Astana city will be removed to the left bank of the river Ishim in 2005. President Nursultan Nazarbayev stated on December 16, while visiting facilities located on the left bank of the river Ishim, KZ-today-Astana.

"Vast and splendiferous facilities which we can see here are the new symbol of new Kazakhstan," Nursultan Nazarbayev said speaking about Supreme Court and Majilis's Parliament buildings.

"All buildings, that you can see, will be set in operation next year and the new unique center will appear for the first time in Kazakhstani history," he stressed.

"This is the centre of Kazakhstan. It is industrial and agrarian centre. It is intersection of all roads of our country. It is centre of Eurasia, transit traffic centre between Europe and Asia, symbol of Kazakhstan, deciding our possibilities," the President marked.
