December 10. Kazakhstan Today - The head of state, Nursultan Nazarbayev, signed Law on Gender Equality, the agency reports citing the president's press service.
According to the press service, "the head of state signed the Law on Equal Rights and Equal Opportunities of Men and Women directed at guaranteeing equal rights and equal opportunities for men and women."
The text of the law has been published in press.
As informed earlier, the law regulates public relations in the field of maintenance of the state guarantees of equal rights and equal opportunities for women and men. The law is directed at prevention of any forms of sex discrimination.
"The document will implement the international standards in the field of human rights in the national legislation."
