"Dear Kazakhstan citizens, brothers and sisters! I congratulate you on the coming sacred holiday Kurban ayt! All moslems will celebrate this holiday on November 27."
As informed earlier, November 27 in Kazakhstan will be a day off in connection with celebration of Kurban ayt.
"According to Law of Kazakhstan on Labor, the first day of Kurban ayt will be a day off. This year, the first day of Kurban ayt will be November 27, Friday. According to the legislation, this day will be declared a day off," A. Lurova said.
The amendments to the Law on Labor were accepted on December, 2005, according to which the first day of Kurban ayt, one of the celebrations of the Muslim calendar, and January 7 - orthodox Christmas, will be days off.
