"Foreign trade turnover in January - August, 2009 has been $43.1 billion (it has decreased by 41.9 % in comparison with January - August, 2008), including export - $25.2 billion (by 49.2 % less) and import - $17.9 billion (by 27 % less).
A considerable share in commodity structure of export of mineral products in January - August, 2009 - 73.2 % and import - automobiles, equipment, vehicles, and devices - 36.2 %, non-precious metals and products made from them - 25 %. In August, 2009, in comparison with July of 2009, export operations have increased by 9.1 %."
