Nazarbayev assigned to increase export of agricultural products

Almaty. October 13. Kazakhstan Today - The head of state, Nursultan Nazarbayev, set the task to increase export of agricultural products during speech for the students and professors of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the agency reports.

"I set the objective of the industrially-innovative development of Kazakhstan. The crisis has shown that there is no alternative to this," N. Nazarbayev said.

He explained that "large-scale modernization of the agricultural sector has become a priority for innovative industrialization of our country. "The agrarian sector has become an exporter of our production."

He also noted that development of the construction industry and manufacture of construction materials, oil refining development, development of metallurgy and manufacture of metal products, development of the chemical, pharmaceutical and defense industry, modernization of the energy sphere, development of transport, and telecommunication infrastructure are the priority directions for our country.
