August 24. Kazakhstan Today - The southern coast of Taiwan was hit by 5.6-magnitude earthquake, the agency reports citing Xinhua.
According to the seismological service of Taiwan, the southern coast of Taiwan was hit by 5.6-magnitude earthquake on August 23 at 04.57 local time. The epicenter was in 31.6 kilometers to the southwest from the seismic station of Fanlyao in Pindun District.
The tremors were felt in Pindune District and in Kaohsiung area located in the southern part of Taiwan. The seismic centre was at the depth of 50.5 kilometers. Neither casualties not destructions have been reported yet.
