Two bridges damaged as a result of heavy showers

As a result of heavy showers, on 7 and 9 June in Almaty and East Kazakhstani oblast, two bridges have been damaged, emergencies agency of RK told Kz-Today.

In East Kazakhstan on 7 June, at 20.30 of local time at a in Urdzhar district a bridge was partially damaged and 500 meters of asphalt. A bridge at a local road was destroyed completely. A 600 meters dam has been destroyed as well. 10 hectares of agricultural ground have been damaged. There have been no victims among the population. The village residents are carrying out the recovery work.

In Almaty oblast at midnight on 9 June as a result of increasing level of water in Karkara river, degradation and sag of the bridge-s support took place at Kegen-Zhalanash motorway. Communication between the neighbouring villages is going on through a nearby bridge. There is no menace of flooding the residential and agricultural areas. There have been no victims. The damage is being ascertained.
