80 youth crimes registered in WKO

According to the WKO DA the underage crime boosts in the oblast. The DA listed unfavorable living conditions, unemployment, and delayed salaries as the main reasons for the growth. The most popular crimes among the juvenile delinquents are thefts. Last year only 182 thefts by the juvenile delinquents have been registered, plus 31 burglaries, and 15 hooliganism cases. Besides, last year only kids committed 4 murders, 7 rapes, and 4 robberies. According to the DA mostly the crimes are committed by the schoolchildren. This year only 75 underage children violated the law, 58 of them were brought to courts. Overall in 2001 teenagers committed 312 crimes. The oblast thus took the number one spot by the number of crimes committed by the juvenile delinquents. |
