Workers are going to protest a ruling by Hurricane management to bar a number of structures from SHNOS industrial organization, including transport, general, construction and maintenance workshops, and security dept, which are to be transformed into independent entities. Their employees shall be dismissed from JSC SHNOS, and enrolled into new entities. The ruling is effective as of 1 August 2002. Trade union and workers believe this will result in lowering the workers-pay. Shpilev said that the employees would engage in protest. Currently application to set up a meeting is prepared, next week the protest is going to take place in one of the buildings on site. |
