Chairman of PRC offered condolences to the landslide victims

Hu Jintao, chairman of the People's Republic of China, sent a telegram of condolences on human deaths caused by the landslide in Almaty oblast, RK, on 15 March, Xinhua reports.

The telegram observes that the mudflow took lives of many people including nine Chinese workers. In relation with this the government and people of China express deep regret and sincere sympathy with the families of the deceased persons. "I am sure that under the guidance of president N. Nazarbayev and government of Kazakhstan the Kazakhstani people will supersede the consequences of the disaster," - Hu Jintao stressed in his telegram.

Earlier Wen Jiabao, state council premier, issued a decree by which he demanded from the embassy of PRC in Kazakhstan and the CNPC (Chinese National Petroleum Company), operating in RK, to start work on elimination of the disaster consequences in co-ordination with Kazakhstan.
