EurAsEC integration committee to meet in Almaty this February

A regular meeting of the EurAsEC (Eurasian Economic Community) integration committee will take place this February in Almaty, Ministry of Justice of Tajikistan has advised KZ-today.

It is suggested that the meeting participants will discuss drafts document regulating important aspects of the co-operation. In particular, on promotion and mutual protection of investments, on unification of trade regimes with reference to third countries, on interaction of frontier guarding authorities in the case of critical situations on the frontiers, and others.

In January-March, 2005, meetings of IC commissions and EurAsEc experts are planned in Moscow and Almaty. Thus, in January experts will review propositions on actions of the Community member states concerning economic reforms in the average perspective in the Russian capital. The 5th meeting of the commission for the formation of a common electric power market and a meeting of foreign policy and frontier guarding authorities on the completion of a provision on the Community frontier group will be carried out this March in Almaty.

Besides, according to the Ministry of Justice of Tajikistan, a meeting of the EurAsEC interstate council on the level of heads of government is planned in Almaty in the first quarter of 2005. It is suggested that drafts agreement "On co-operation in organising an integrated currency market of the EurAsEC member states" and the order of coordinating chief macroeconomic indices, as well as a number of other documents will be reviewed.
