A growth of the livestock of all kinds of cattle and fowl was registered as of 1 December, 2004, in all peasant farms against the same period of 2003. However, the quantity of pigs fell at agricultural ventures. In January-November, 2004, a growth of meat and dairy production was observed in all regions of the republic except for Manghistau region, where the meat production volumes remained at the level of the same period of 2003 and those of dairy production fell by 16.1%. The biggest growth in dairy production was reached in Pavlodar region, the smallest one - in Kostanai region. A growth of egg production was registered in January-November, 2004, in eight regions of Kazakhstan against the same period of 2003. The highest speed of growth was reached in Manghistau region (by 50%) and West Kazakhstan region (by 27.5%). |
