Kazakhstan today, the News and Information Agency hosted yesterday a press conference dedicated to its press centre opening here in Almaty.

Speaking at the opening ceremony the agency's director Timur Kuvatov said that apart from regular press conferences different meetings with outstanding people are to be held in the press centre. "The information about the press conferences held will be promptly placed on KZ-today site," he stressed.

"The press centre has been established primarily for journalists and we will take it into consideration in the process of work," the head of the press centre Aleksey Sorokin said.

The agency has a broad network of correspondents in Kazakhstan and the Central Asia countries, the editor-in-chief of news agency Irina Pilguk noted. "Central Asia countries have a great interest towards the information placed on KZ-today site," she marked.

"Establishment of its own press centre positions Kazakhstan today as a rather serious mass media, which dose not yield to leading news and information agencies of Kazakhstan," Timur Kuvatov stressed.
