The head of state reminded that "Alexander Pavlov was relieved from duties of the first vice premier on his personal request and Grigory Marchenko, former chairman of the National bank, was assigned to that position". "Having discussed all candidacies, I consider it possible to offer the most appropriate one for your discussion", - N. Nazarbayev said. The president said that the experience of A. Saidenov, his "reputation in the international financial circles allow us to conclude that such a high office can be entrusted to him". Currently the parliament discusses the candidacy of A. Saidenov. A. Saidenov was born in 1960. He graduated from Moscow State University after Lomonosov and London University in economics. He worked as a consultant, a banker in the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development. He headed the State Committee of RK for Investments, the Agency for Investments. In 1999-2000 he was vice minister of finance. From 2000 to 2002 he was chairman of the board of the National Savings Bank of Kazakhstan and chairman of the board of "Eksimbank Kazakhstan". A. Saidenov twice was deputy chairman of the National Bank. First he was assigned to this position in 1996 and worked there until 1998. In 2002 A. Saidenov again became deputy chairman of the National Bank. Since G. Marchenko was assigned to the position of the first vice premier of RK, А. Saidenov performs duties of chairman of the National Bank. |
